The Offermand

The Offermand is a mysterious lump of seemingly living metal, about the size of a large coconut when in the shape of a sphere. It pulses slowly, growing and shrinking in waves. The Offermand looks to be made of polished silver, incredibly reflective, and has tremendous resistance to blunt force, even though it often appears to be liquid in its movements. It establishes a protective bond with its wielder, refusing to leave his or her presence unless forced to do so. The Offermand’s wielder feels a significant increase in general mischievousness. While she lives, only Hildra may attune to the Offermand.

Factotum (Level 2): The Offermand is able to assume many forms and does so willingly at the behest of its wielder. As a bonus action, its user may command the Offermand to change forms and move itself, so long as it does not move farther than ten feet away (the Offermand prefers physical contact if at all possible). Along with aesthetic changes, the Offermand is able to boost the wielder’s natural abilities and talents; by choosing an appropriate form, the user may add +2 to one of the following: a single skill check, ability check, save, attack roll, damage roll, spell effect roll, AC, or HP. This bonus remains until the Offermand changes forms. As an action, the Offermand may be used to cast the spell repel/attract metal; it cannot boost the spell save DC of this spell while casting it. While attuned, the Offermand’s wielder also passively gains metal sense within a 60 foot radius.
